Lesson 42: Jesus Heals the Nobleman's Son
When Jesus came to the country of Galilee, the people there were very glad to see him. They had heard of all the wonderful things that Jesus had done.
In the city of Cana, the city where Jesus had turned the water into wine at the wedding, a nobleman (one of the rulers) came to him and asked him to come and heal his son who was dying. Jesus tried to impress the man that most people didn't believe in him unless he did miracles for them. This man, however, believed Jesus and begged him to come to heal his son before he died (John 4:46-54). Jesus told the man to go home because his son was going to live.
The nobleman believed Jesus and he went away happy. On the way home one of his servants met him and told him that his son was alive. The nobleman asked him what time did his son begin to get better. The servant told him that it was at the seventh hour, and the nobleman knew that was the same time Jesus told him that his son would live.
