Lesson 2: God Made All Things

In the very beginning of our Bibles we are told all about the things that God created or made. God took six days to create or make our earth and Heaven and all the things that are in them. We have so very much to be thankful to God for.

God made the earth and everything very beautiful. God made the light and He called it day. God made the darkness and He called it night. God also made the Heavens. Then He made the seas and oceans and lakes and rivers.

God also made the grass and our trees and our vegetables. From some of the trees we get fruits and nuts. All these things we love to eat. We also like the vegetables that grow in our gardens. So we can see that God has been very good to us. Therefore, we should be very thankful to God.

God made the sun, the moon, and the stars. Have you ever seen the moon and stars shining at night? The moon is not as bright as the sun, but it does give light at night when it is dark.

God made the fish and everything living in the waters. God also made the birds. Then, on the sixth day God made man, cattle, animals, and creeping things. God did all this work in six days.

Then on the seventh day, God rested from all His work. (Genesis 2:1-3)
